Turning a bad day into a good

One of the hard things when you want to "be good" or have a "good day" is when in fact it's a bad day. And you yell at the dog, want to throw the computer out the window, don't want to get out of bed, ...

So what do I do?

First, I remember its time to change my focus from all that's going wrong and find something that's going good.

And for those who want to meditate or meditate more deeply; for those who want to feel a deeper connection to something important; and/or for those who want to feel the beauty of their heart ... not only read this but actually start to breathe while doing the visual and tactile exercise as you read.

Second, the key is to find something you are grateful for. Because how can a day stay crappy if you can see something good? Feel something good?

And for you who love crystals, this is even easier (especially if "the reason" you are crabby is that your hubbie, child, friend, cat ... did the "something wrong"!)

So stop for a minute now and find that something you can be grateful for. Find the photo of a loved one, hold a crystal that makes you smile, pick a flower that is open to greet the day,...

And sit with it. Look at it. Stroke it. Smell it. BE WITH IT - FULLY. All your sense focusing on it. And with you looking, touching, smelling ...

Let your mind dwell on how grateful you are that it/they are in your life. The wonder of nature to have given birth to them.

Your mind will let go its focus on the bad, and remember that NOW in THIS MOMENT, there is something wonderful in the day.

And your heart will soften and expand, your mind will still.

Allow your self to stay in the happy place until your mind/emotions are ready to say "well things haven't gone well but gee it's still a good day!"

P.S. If you are frustrated - consider holding tiger eye/tiger iron. If you are anxious - maybe amethyst. Crystals will help dissolve/ease the emotional load. But mentally - YOU need to move to happier thoughts.

P.S.S. If its a particularly bad period of emotional challenge look at Rescue Remedy (chemists and herbalists) or have a healing session to take the edge off while working with crystals, aroma oils and/or meditation. Very serious - consult a counsellor or doctor.
