My experience with crystals that calm

I thought today that rather than teaching you about a specific crystal that I would talk about using crystals to support the release of negative feelings. More specifically why several different crystals, in the crystal books, all have the same healing properties and yet they would be completely different in type colour and growth pattern.

I am going to use the example of "healing properties = calming". This is because this was my recent experience of discovering how three completely different crystals all came to "calm me down".

I have for some time known that if I am very angry and frustrated (which I will call emotions very centred around the stomach and liver or solar plexus area of the body)  that I would be guided to red jasper. And sure enough after 10 minutes I would feel calmer and the angry energy would have dissipated. Why red jasper? Jaspers are known as being nurturers. They work with the root chakra which is at the base of the spine to open and to allow these very base (primitive) emotions a means of release down the energy pillar to the earth. Also red jasper brings in the red energy from the earth which revitalises – something important as anger is very draining so we can move forward with things.

I have found that when I am confused very in my mind and feeling quite discouraged that I will be guided to tiger's eye. It relieves the anxiety and that helps me calm down. When I checked the books of course this is exactly what tiger's eye is best known for. On the emotional level it releases stuck or congested states due to getting our thoughts getting confused and therefore also experience of loss of confidence. And once it clears that it activates the practical energy, stimulates communication and the flow of ideas thereby taking away your confusion and you move back to "flowing with life" .... thus you become calmer.

So I notice one day that aquamarine also was noted for "calming". I went into judgement of "no it can't its not a jasper, its not earthy! Its airy/watery!" But thankfully I also asked the Universe to teach me. And a few days later I was intrigued to find myself being guided to it. Why? Well I was overexcited that day from amazing things have been happening. Everything had been going right! I was running on an emotional high - not just a few minutes but for an hour! I was certainly not able to get into practical action to channel this fantastic excited energy. And like all emotions (except love of course) extreme states trigger hormones e.g. adrenaline and that's not healthy for long periods. I hadn't understood why over-excited was "bad" but now I got to really witness it and feel that it actually wasn't as"OK" as I thought when it went on and on and on. So I  asked for help to move me out of this state - and I don't know about you but when I'm in extreme emotions I get very noisy and very loud!

I was guided to aquamarine and within 10 minutes I came back to a natural state of happiness with calmness and was able to channel all my enthusiasm into a wonderfully productive afternoon.

So there you have it - an example of why three very different stones all can have the same healing property and yet work differently. In my case "calm me down from which over-emotional state? Anger? Confusion? Over-excited?

I hope this helps you understand why is sometimes why you go for one crystal instead of another. Or why if you just follow one word from a book (or a person) says "calms", that the crystal may not work.

I am here to get to help you trust your intuition - whether that come though your eyes, your sense of physical touch, and/or  that deep sense of the self. You will know which crystal is right  even if your head does not.

Enjoy discovering the crystals help.
